Under the able & professional guidance of Col PP Marathe (Retd), I was able to channelize my preparations and studies to successfully clear the Combined Defence Services written exam and SSB Interview. He was highly instrumental in instilling methodical approach towards my preparations and development of the requisite Officer Like Qualities to join the elite Indian Armed Forces. He has been a guiding beacon in my success.

Col. Marathe is a teacher who makes a difference by his teaching techniques. A patient, calm and composed nature of his makes sure you are comfortable to ask him queries. Strong personality with knowledge from different gamut helps students know different perspectives and of course builds confident personality. I was recommended 2 times in SSB with his guidance.

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." ions This famous quote by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam from his autobiography, "Wings of Fire" stands absolutely true in ly my case too. After having failed to make it once at the Services Selection Board for NDA, I was seeking not just a coaching class but the right mentor to guide me for the = been preparation of the CDS exam and the SSB interviews. Col PP Marathe (Retd) was the right mentor who caused the turn around in my life. I made it to the Indian Military Academy in my first attempt.

Col. Marathe, a person who taught me that it is not wrong to fail, but it is wrong not to learn from those failures and amend. My Guru in the true sense, someone I look up to at every stage in my life and he has been a source of inspiration in every walk of life, personal and professional. He is one person I can talk to about anything I want and be assured of not being judged, but being guided in the best possible way. Thank you for being there Sir!

belong to a small town near Pune and first one to have joined the Army from my town, school and college. At the outset, i would like to attribute the entire credit of my transformation from a small town boy to Army officer single handedly goes to Col PP Marathe. At the time when he took me under his wings, i had already failed four attempts of "written tests of NDA, academically i was doing just average. My journey of transformation began when I met Col Marathe and thereafter I did not look back.
